L110: Intensive Persian Language
TOPIC: The Persian-American Affairs Office, in collaboration with the Wilmette Institute, is planning to conduct an intensive Persian language course every summer simultaneous with the Spiritual Foundations programs session. Students will be classified as beginning, intermediate, or advanced based on the Persian language skills they already have when they arrive in Wilmette. The students will be in class five hours a day, five days a week. The program will include cultural activities to support and enhance the class work.
Because the classes are held at the same time as the Spiritual Foundations for a Global Civilization summer residential session, students can not register for both.
TEXTS: A specially developed text and workbook will be provided

Contemporary Spoken Persian II (books and cassettes, $36.95)WORK REQUIREMENTS: There is no pre-study or post-study. Students are required to attend 25 hours of class a week for the three weeks and spend additional time studying and completing homework.
